My family is inordinately fond of oven fried potatoes. No pre-cooking here.
Just peel (or not) as many potatoes as you want and slice them into whatever
shape you want. I make slices and then cut them in half. What is known as
cottage fries, I think. Spray a cookie sheet with baking spray and place
the potatoes on the pan. Sprinkle with garlic powder and onion powder and
salt and pepper. Lightly spray potatoes with baking spray and bake at 425
degrees until undersides are brown and then turn over and brown the other side.
You can make these as crisp or soft as you like. We like em crisp.
